Chair of Directors
I’m Chair of Directors for Park Lane Centre. This role comes with a long list of responsibilities, including but not limited to, providing leadership to the charity and board of Directors, Supporting and Line Managing our Centre Manager. I am passionate about Children’s and Young People’s Mental Health. I’m the founding Director of Challenging Perceptions and Co-chair of the Telford Mental Health Forum. I’m also a full-time carer for my son.
Rae Evans
Vice Chair
I have been member of the Board since 2011 and currently represent Madeley Town Council. I have worked primarily in the fields of Business Strategy, HR and Performance and Quality Management. I have significant experience of working in with charities, the public and not-for-profit sectors. I have held the office of Mayor of the Borough of Telford and Wrekin and later Cabinet Member. In 2023 i was proud to be made an Honorary Alderman of the Borough of Telford & Wrekin.

I was originally on the steering group for the Park Lane Centre which I am now a director of. You will find me helping around the centre most days of the week. I enjoy assisting with the organisation and running of the events for the community and helping members of the community in need. In my spare time I enjoy going to the cinema, eating out with friends and spending time with my granddaughter.

I’ve been on the Park Lane Centre Board of Directors for several years, running alongside my fulltime role as the Reception Manager at Smileworks Dental Practice. In my spare time i like eating out, going away, social events, cinema, watching rugby and love spending time with my grandchildren, family and friends.
